  • The frequency that user radios transmit to access the repeater is the Repeater CTCSS decode Frequency.
  • The frequency that the repeater transmits is the repeater Encode Frequency.
  • PL is a Motorola Abbreviation for "Private Line."
  • QC is an RCA abbreviation for "Quiet Channel."
  • CG is a General Electric abbreviation for "Channel Guard."
  • CTCSS is the generic abbreviation for these Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System and is required to minimize co-channel interference.
  • Deviation of transmitted tone should be a maximum of 500Hz.
